New York, NY

Located at the southern tip of Manhattan, in Battery Park.  The stamp is in the bookstore, in the middle of the monument.  Excellent free motorcycle parking available on Battery Place, a few hundred feet away.

Eleanor Roosevelt NHS
Hyde Park, NY

Located on Route 9G, very close to the FDR Home and the Vanderbilt Mansion.  The stamp is kept in the playhouse where they show the film.

Ellis Island NM
New York Harbor, NY

You have to take a ferry here, either from Battery Park in Manhattan, or Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.  The ferry costs $7 and takes some time, so this is not a quick stop.  The stamp is located at the information counter in the entrance hall, on the left as you walk in. Avoid the summer crowds.

Federal Hall N MEM
New York, NY

The site is located on Wall Street, right across from the New York Stock Exchange.  Parking is non-existent, so you might want to walk from the excellent Battery Place motorcycle parking area.  The site is not open on the weekend!

Fire Island NS
Long Island, NY

I got this stamp at the Fire Island Wilderness Visitor Center which is located at the end of Route 46, on the eastern tip of the island. Fire Island is 32 miles long and has only two drivable access points, one here at Smith Point and the other at the western end near the lighthouse and Robert Moses State Park.

This is a slightly different stamp which lives at the Fire Island Lighthouse Visitor Center.  Take the Sagtikos State Parkway south across the Robert Moses Causeway and follow the signs towards the lighthouse and parking lot 5.  Park at the eastern end of the lot and walk the 1/2 mile nature boardwalk towards the lighthouse.  The stamp is in the bookstore, next to the cash register.

Fort Stanwix NM
Rome, NY

There is plenty of parking around this monument, but the entrance is on the southern end, and you may end up taking a long walk around the moat, like I did.  The stamp is in the bookstore, located on the left when you enter the fort.

Gateway NRA - Breezy Point
Ft. Tilden, NY

The Gateway National Recreation Area has at least 7 stamps: 1 in New Jersey, and 7 in New York.  This one is part of the Jamaica Bay Unit and is on Rockaway Point.  Take the Belt Parkway to exit 11S, and drive south on Marine Parkway.  Cross the toll Bridge, bear right, and then make the first left, following the Fort Tilden signs.  The visitor center is the two story brick building across the soccer field. Parking is right in front, and the ranger has the stamp at the information desk.

Gateway NRA - Floyd Bennett Field
Brooklyn, NY

The Gateway National Recreation Area has at least 7 stamps: 1 in New Jersey, and 7 in New York.  I found this one in the visitor contact station at the entrance to Floyd Bennett Field.  Take the Belt Parkway to exit 11S and turn south on Marine Parkway.  Turn left into the park just before the toll bridge.  The contact station is the first building on the right.  If you don't find anyone  there, go to the Ryan Visitor Center.

Gateway NRA - Fort Wadsworth
Staten Island, NY

The Gateway National Recreation Area has at least 7 stamps: 1 in New Jersey, and 7 in New York.  This one is on Staten Island. Take the Bay Street exit off the Staten Island Expressway and follow sign to Fort Washington.  The stamp is at the information desk at the visitor center, open Wednesday through Sunday.

Gateway NRA - Great Kills Park
Staten Island, NY

The Gateway National Recreation Area has at least 7 stamps: 1 in New Jersey, and 7 in New York.  Take Hylan Boulevard to Buffalo Street.  Turn south into the park where you'll sign the big NPS sign. Follow the road to the Ranger Station and you'll find the stamp inside.

Gateway NRA - Miller Field
Staten Island, NY

The Gateway National Recreation Area has at least 7 stamps: 1 in New Jersey, and 7 in New York.  This unit is along the south shore of Staten Island, between Great Kills and Fort Wadsworth.  Take Hylan Boulevard and turn south on New Dorp Road.  Follow it to the end and turn left into Miller Field.  The road winds around to the Ranger Station where the stamp is kept.

Gateway NRA - Wildlife Refuge District
Queens, NY

The Gateway National Recreation Area has at least 7 stamps: 1 in New Jersey, and 7 in New York.  To get here, take exit 17S off the Belt Parkway on in Long Island.  Drive south on Cross Bay Boulevard and the visitor center is on the left a few miles. Ask the ranger for the stamp.

General Grant N MEM
New York, NY

Yes, Grant is buried here, in Grant's Tomb.  So is his wife Julia.  Located on Riverside Drve at 122nd Street, there is plenty of motorcycle parking.  The stamp is just inside the monument, on the left when you enter.

Hamilton Grange N MEM
New York, NY

Not too far from Grant's Tomb, the site is located at 287 Convent Avenue, between 141st and 142nd Streets.  Not exactly the neighborhood that Hamilton remembers.  The stamp is at the information desk.  Motorcycle parking on the street, but just don't stay too long.

Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt NHS
Hyde Park, NY

Located along Route 9, just south of the Vanderbilt Mansion, and not too far from the Eleanor Roosevelt site.  The stamp is in the bookstore, at the back of the Information Center, next to the cash register.

Martin Van Buren NHS
Kinderhook, NY

Located on Route 9H.  During the summer, the stamp is in the bookstore, the little building to the left of the house, right where the entrance road meets route 9H.  Other times you can find it in the office trailer near the parking lot.

Sagamore Hill NHS
Oyster Bay, NY

Follow the NPS signs from Route 106, turning on Cove Road.  The stamp is in the visitor center right next to the parking lot.

Saint Paul's Church NHS
Mount Vernon, NY

The church is located at 897 South Columbus Avenue.  Take the Hutchinson River Parkway to exit 7, turn left onto Boston Post Road.  Take it to Pelham Parkway, make a right and go 4 lights to Columbus Avenue, them make a left.  The stamp is in the visitor center, the small building to the left of the church.

Saratoga NHP
Stillwater, NY

The site is off of US-4, overlooking the Hudson River, about 6 miles north of Stillwater.  The stamp is located in the visitor center, near the cash register. There is a nice road which winds through the battlefield sites.

Statue of Liberty NM
New York Harbor, NY

You have to take a ferry to get here, either from Battery Park in Manhattan, or Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.  The ferry costs $7 and takes some time, so this is not a quick stop.  The stamp is located at the information center on the left as you get off the ferry, across from the cafeteria.  The hike to the top of the statue will take a while.  Avoid the summer hordes.

Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace NHS
New York, NY

This was my first ever stamp, and it is located just inside the entrance on the left.  This site is located at 28 East 20th Street, and motorcycle parking may be difficult. The site is only open weekdays when the street is a commercial loading zone. You might try using the sidewalk.

Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural NHS
Buffalo, NY

Located at 641 Delaware Avenue.  If there isn't a spot out front, park in the Walgreen's lot across the street. The stamp is right inside the visitor entrance.

Vanderbilt Mansion NHS
Hyde Park, NY

Located on Route 9, just north of the FDR Home.  The stamp is kept in the bookstore, by the cash register, at the back of the visitor center.

Women's Rights NHP
Seneca Falls, NY

Located at 136 Fall Street which is route 5/20.  Take exit 41 from the New York State Thruway, head south on route 414 for 4 miles, and then turn east on route 5/20.
