Aztec Ruins NM
Aztec, NM

Aztec Ruins are northwest of the city of Aztec, near the junction of US-550 and route 44.  The stamp is in the Visitor Center/Museum.

Bandelier NM
Los Alamos, NM

From Los Alamos, take route 501 to route 4.  When I visited the stamp was in the visitor center/park headquarters, 3 miles from the entrance.  The park was severely damaged by fire in the Spring of 2000.

Capulin Volcano NM
Capulin, NM

Capulin is 30 miles east of Raton on US-64, and the volcano is another 3 miles north on route 325.  The stamp is in the visitor center at the start of the volcano road.

Carlsbad Caverns NP
Carlsbad, NM

20 miles from Carlsbad on US-62/180 is Whites City and the park entrance road.  The visitor center and cave entrance is another 7 miles into the park.  The stamp is at the information desk.

Chaco Culture NHP
Nageezi, NM

There are two ways to get to Chaco Canyon.  One is bad and the other is worse.  The bad way, from the north,  involves 16 miles of dirt road (CR 7950) from route 44 and CR 7900.  This route includes crossing a stream/wash which may be impassable, although the road is generally smooth and maintained.  The worse way, from the south, involves a 21-mile treacherous stretch of dirt and rock.  If you would like to abuse your motorcycle, turn north on route 371 from I-40 (Thoreau exit) and head past Crownpoint.  Two miles past Crownpoint turn right (east) on Navajo 9.  Then turn north on route 57 and don't say I didn't warn you.  The stamp is in the bookstore section of the visitor center, next to the cash register.

El Malpais NM
Grants, NM

The El Malpais Information Center is located along Route 53, 23 miles southwest of I-40, Exit 81. 

El Morro NM
Ramah, NM

El Morro National Monument is a bit further west from El Malpais, along Route 53.  From I-40 Exit 81, the distance is 42 miles to the visitor center.  From Ramah, the visitor center is 13 miles east.

Fort Union NM
Watrous, NM

Take Exit 366 from I-25 and head north up Route 161.  8 miles later you'll reach the end of the road, and Fort Union.  There is also a stamp for the Santa Fe National Historic Trail here.

Pecos NHP
Pecos, NM

This park is 2 miles south of the village of Pecos, on route 63.  This stamp is at the information desk in the visitor center.

Petroglyph NM
Albuquerque, NM

The visitor center for this site is located at 6001 Unser Boulevard NW.  From I-40 take Exit 154, and then head north for 3 miles.  The entrance is at Western Trail Road. 

Salinas Pueblo Missions NM
Mountainair, NM

This site has four locations, including this one: the park Headquarters and Main Visitor Center in Mountainair.  The building in on US-60, one block west of route 55.  Ask for the stamp at the information desk.  The other three sites are listed below.

Salinas Pueblo Missions NM - Abó Ruins
Abó, NM

The Abó Ruins are 14.5 miles west of Mountainair and one mile north of US-60.  The stamp is in the Contact Station next to the cash register.

Salinas Pueblo Missions NM - Gran Quivira Ruins
Gran Quivira, NM

The Gran Quivira Ruins are 25 miles south of Mountainair on route 55.  Ask for the stamp in the Contact Station.

Salinas Pueblo Missions NM - Quarai Ruins
Quarai, NM

The Quarai Ruins are 8 miles north of Mountainair on route 55, near Punta de Agua.  Ask for the stamp in the Contact Station.

White Sands NM
Alamogordo, NM

The visitor center and entrance to the sands lies 15 miles southwest of Alamogordo along US-70.  The site is periodically closed during testing at the neighboring White Sands Missile Range.
